Work Life Balance
When many people go to work, they leave their faith at the door. There does not seem to be much room for God below the bottom line, or even around the water cooler at work. As a result, many of us tuck the Holy Spirit away, keep Christ hidden in our hearts, and rip through our contacts list to make the next customer call. Yet if God is everywhere, then he must be at work as well. We use these sessions to explore how we can apply and even celebrate the principles of our faith in the workplace - as colleagues, as leaders and as 'marketing men' for God.
At the same time, we look at how the organizing principles of business can be used to keep us focused in our faith. We use the Mission Statement to clarify our spiritual purpose and explore how the framework of the business plan can be applied to developing a working team, a marketing plan and a spiritual balance sheet for daily leave (developed more fully in a two day retreat associated with this theme).
Finally, this theme addresses the importance of shifting our perspective from wordly success to more lasting significance as we strive to leave our legacy in family, at work and in the broader community.
