In the Second Book of James, we read that "faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead."  In other words, God wants us to take our faith into the wider world and apply the principles of faith to the good works that our world so desperately needs.  In these meetings, we explore who to do this as individuals and, with a bit of planning, with your men's group.  We also take time to review the other major religions of the world, to see what we have in common as well as our difference and, equally important, to better appreciate the unique qualities of our own faith.  Finally, we take stock of our own spiritual and material gifts and how we can apply those in the community, as a way to help ourselves by helping our neighbors.
